The „Vanilla Sky Project“ was born in 2013 from an idea that Thorsten „Toddy“ Wälde had in his mind for many years. The goal was to make exploration real for cave divers who never experienced the thrill of discovery. Conducted in close cooperation with his friend Robbie Schmittner (Xibalba Diving Center), training included survey & cartography, how to explore new cenotes, necessary equipment for exploration, and a myriad of specialized tricks learned from years of experience. More than 40km of caves have been explored by the Vanilla Sky Team, unveiling incredible hidden treasures like „Yab-Yum“ which you will see in the videos.
Exploration, as it happens. Shot 100% on the HERO4® and HERO5® cameras Lighting by BigBlue dive lights.
